I Love Him

Here is my amazing husband! Isn't he cute! He is such a wonderful husband. I am so blessed to have him in my life. Although this photo looks pretty ordinary, it makes me laugh because of his left pocket. Ever since I've known him, Rob always has about the equivalent of 4 purses full of stuff packed into his pants pockets. Sometimes at the end of the day I'll intentionally watch him empty the contents of his pockets onto the night table, and I'm amazed at what comes out, and how much comes out! When we were getting our engagement pictures taken, the photographers wanted him to sit down, and then my stand behind him. When Rob sat down, it tightened his pant legs and both of his pockets bulged up. One of the photographers noticed it right away and told him to take the things out of his pockets, so he started, and he had this whole pile of stuff on the floor from them, and all us were laughing. He's so cute!

I love spending time with Rob. We have so much fun together even when we are just doing ordinary things. Almost every day we say that we are going to go to bed early tonight, so we go to bed at a decent time, but then we lay there talking and laughing for hours until it is super late. Then the next day we are so tired. But it's worth it! I've never liked going to bed until I got married. Now bedtime is the best time of the whole day!

I think one of the most fun things about being newly weds is realizing the little quirks each other has that you would never know about someone until you live with them. We've been married for over a year and a half, and we are still always finding new things out about each other. I feel that if you have a strong marriage, you see your spouse as a someone whose soul never ends and realize that you will never get to the end of that person. I've seen some couples who seem to never really talk "to" each other anymore. It seems like they've run out of things to talk about with each other. It's sad. Marriage is about peeling back layer after layer of your spouse and even after 65 years of marriage, never running out of things to talk about or things to learn about each other or learn together. I can't wait to see what all I'm going to learn about Rob during our life as husband and wife. I also can't wait to see what we are going to learn together. I'll let you know in 65 years!

I love being married! :)
